NELSONVILLE, Ohio -- A warden says an Ohio woman charged with kidnapping her daughter-in-law found strangled in a septic tank apparently tried to commit suicide in jail.

Warden Jeremy Tolson says 46-year-old Sandra Inman jumped from the second level of an indoor common area Wednesday morning. He says she was treated at a hospital and returned to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville.

The Akron woman has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of kidnapping and abducting her son's estranged wife, 25-year-old Summer Inman of Logan, in March.

The son and his father are charged with kidnapping and murder. They have pleaded not guilty.

Tolson says he cannot comment on Sandra Inman's injuries due to privacy concerns.
