Pickup truck driver killed in crash with semi ID’d

A 66-year-old West Manchester man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash with a semitrailer on U.S. 127 at Interstate 70 north of Eaton.

Dennis L. Glander was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado north on U.S. 127 when he went left of center around 12:20 p.m. and struck the stopped 2008 Mack semitruck head-on, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Glander was taken to the Preble County emergency room, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the semitruck, 63-year-old Alfred E. Firestone of Dayton, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
