The Ohio State Highway Patrol today celebrates 85 years of service.
On this date in 1933, the first 60 patrolmen graduated.
All the patrol posts today celebrated the milestone.

At the Piqua Post, cake was served and retirees also were invited to mark the occasion. In accordance with tradition, the most senior trooper cuts the first piece of cake and gives it to the newest trooper.
