The highway patrol investigation found that Ridenour was driving a white 2003 Chevrolet S-10 southbound while in the northbound lanes of Route 48, just south of Main Street in Lebanon.

A 2006 silver Saturn Ion, driven by Seth Meintel, 19, of Lebanon, was traveling north on Route 48.

The two vehicles crashed head-on.

Rescue crews had to use mechanical means to rescue Meintel from his vehicle, and took him to Miami Valley Hospital with severe injuries. Ridenour was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, although the highway patrol said that alcohol and drugs didn’t appear to be a factor.

Highway patrol troopers were assisted on scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Lebanon police and fire departments.
