State troopers and deputies will conduct an OVI checkpoint in Logan County on Friday evening.

The exact location and time of the checkpoint will be announced on Friday, in compliance with state law.

“Statewide, troopers make on average 25,000 impaired driver arrests each year to help improve traffic safety for all Ohio citizens,” Lt. Molly Harris of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a media release.

“OVI checkpoints are designed to deter impaired driving and remove those that don’t heed the warning.”
