A man believed to be in his 50s remains in Miami Valley Hospital after he was hit by an SUV while crossing in the 1700 block of East Main Street in Springfield on Wednesday night.
He was not in a crosswalk when he was hit just after 8 p.m. near a Taco Bell, Springfield police Lt. Randall Ballentine said.
The pedestrian was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, then transfered to the Dayton hospital. His condition was not known, the lieutenant said.
The driver was not injured.
