UPDATE @ 3:15 p.m.

New information that a Miamisburg property could be a “fortuitous spot” to search for evidence in the disappearance of Chelsey Coe brought investigators back today to the 500 block of Lower Miamisburg Road.

The information came from someone to whom police had not previously talked.

They are searching the side of the home and digging down around, and possibly underneath, the foundation of the side and rear of the main home on the property.

The FBI along with the city’s public works and rec crews were at the scene.

Police are back at a house where police spent days searching for evidence in the Chelsey Coe case earlier this year, according to dispatch records.

We’re working to learn why police are back at the house in the 500 block of Lower Miamisburg Road.

Investigators were cutting down thick brush on the side of the home and on other parts of the property.

A half dozen investigators are there.

An excavator is at the house, however it has not been used yet for any digging.

Dan Lamb, who lives nearby, was watching the law enforcement activity centered on the Miamisburg woman reported missing by her mother last September.

“That’s the hardest thing for a parent to go through is not knowing where their kids is, or even not to have that closure even if your child has passed, not to pay those final respects,” he said.

“I hope this issue gets resolved,” he said, whether it means Coe’s body is found or the property’s resident is cleared of wrongdoing.
