A bicyclist who was hit by a car this afternoon in West Carrollton was cited for a traffic violation.

The bike rider was on South Alex Road and was struck shortly before 2:30 p.m. while crossing Elm Street. The motorist on Elm Street had a green light at the time of the crash, West Carrollton police said.

The bicyclist suffered only minor injuries and was cited for a red-light violation.
