POLICE: Domino’s pizza delivery driver robbed at gunpoint

A Domino's pizza delivery driver was reportedly robbed at gunpoint shortly after midnight Friday.

According to Dayton police reports, the male suspect stole two pizzas and the driver's money from earlier orders.

The driver was delivering to a new customer on Huron Avenue when he saw the suspect sitting on the front porch at the address, according to the report. After the employee drove down the street and turned back, the suspect reportedly approached the vehicle with money in his hand.

When the driver got out of the car to deliver the pizza, the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him, according to the report.

The suspect reportedly told the driver to give him everything he had, and the Domino's employee gave the suspect money from earlier deliveries and the "bank" used to give customers change. The suspect also took pizzas for other orders before running away, read the report.

The driver reportedly told officers he thought the suspect ran toward Western Manor Apartments.

When officers interviewed residents at the apartments, as well as residents on Huron Avenue, no one reported seeing anything. Officers also went to the residence where the pizza was supposed to be delivered, but determined it was vacant, according to the report.
