A pharmacy employee reported the robbery around 1:10 p.m. at the store on Fourth Avenue, police said.
Police said a man identified as Khavaughn Anquan Cochran, 21, passed a note to the employee demanding a list of drugs to be emptied out of a safe.
“Cochran reportedly had his hand in his coat pocket leading CVS employees to fear he may have a gun,” Sidney police Capt. J A Tangeman said in a prepared statement.
The robber took off on foot with about $1,000 worth of oxycodone and hydrocodone, police said. A police K-9 caught the suspect about a block from the CVS.
Cochran was booked into the Shelby County Jail just after 4:30 p.m. pending the filing of formal felony counts of robbery and drug possession, according to online jail records.
