A portion of Stanley Avenue, between Webster Street and Kuntz Road, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday so Dayton Power & Light crews can string new transmission lines.

The power company has been working with the city of Dayton for this utility work, Mary Ann Kabel, DP&L director of operations, said.

Also, Kabel reported that DP&L is on track to have approximately 90 percent of affected customers restored by midnight.

Additional crews today joined crews already on the ground, so there are now 1,600 workers focused on getting people’s power back, Kabel said.

DP&L will still have its ice stations and cellphone charging centers open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Trotwood Fire Station #72, 5469 Little Richmond Road; Beavercreek Senior Center, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road; and Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmont Park North, Dayton.
