Power’s back on for more than 1,100 in Preble

UPDATE @ 10:05 p.m.: Service has been restored for the more than 1,100 Dayton Power & Light customers in the Lewisburg area who lost electric power for about 90 minutes.

DP&L spokesman Tom Tatham said the issue was wires down on a transmission line and crews remain on scene, in an area between U.S. 40 and state Route 503, working to repair the lines.

Crews still have not been able to determine what caused the downed wires, he said.

According to the utility’s online outage page, 1,128 customers lost power.

More than 1,100 Dayton Power & Light customers in the Lewisburg area are without power tonight.

Crews are in the area and trying to pinpoint the cause, said Tom Tatham, a DP&L spokesman. According to the utility’s online outage page, 1,127 customers are without power.

Calls began coming to News Center 7 just after 8:30 p.m. Tatham said customers began calling the utility to report outages just before 8:30 p.m.
