Primanti Bros. sets opening date for new Beavercreek restaurant

First 100 people in line will receive ‘free sandwiches for a year’

Primanti Bros. will open its first southwest Ohio restaurant at 2430 N. Fairfield Road in Beavercreek on April 13, a spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh sandwich-shop chain said this morning.

The new restaurant will host a tailgate promotion that opening-day morning that will award free sandwiches for a year to the first 100 people in line, the spokeswoman said. The restaurant is located in an outlot near the Mall at Fairfield Commons, adjacent to a newly opened IHOP restaurant.

The Primanti Bros. sandwich shop is expected to open to the public in the mid-to-late afternoon April 13 following the tailgate promotion, in which the first 100 diners will be invited into the restaurant at about noon, the spokeswoman said.

The Beavercreek restaurant will be the second Primanti Bros. location in Ohio, and the first in southwest Ohio. The chain operates restaurants in Boardman, Ohio near Youngstown, as well as locations in Florida and Pennsylvania.

Primanti Bros. is known for its “Almost Famous” sandwich, which includes meat, coleslaw and french fries on Italian bread. The 24-hour flagship restaurant, which traces its roots to 1933, has been featured on the Food Network and the Travel Channel.
