Reception planned artist Nancy Shuler

An artist reception for Nancy Shuler and her exhibit Journeys of the Heart will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at The Lobby Gallery at The Mayflower Arts Center.

The center, located in the former Mayflower Theater on East Main Street downtown, will feature Shuler and her paintings through Sept. 20. The Saturday event will feature an artist talk at 6:45 p.m. and jazz guitarist James Smith.

Admission to the gallery is free. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
