Registration opens March 13 for free aerospace camps for students

The National Museum of the United States Air Force and STARBASE, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, are teaming up for free aerospace-themed camps for fifth through eighth graders. These two-day camps are offered in June and July. Registration opens March 13.

Camp for 5th and 6th graders

These camps are for youngsters who will be entering either grade 5 or grade 6 in the 2020-21 school year. These camps are aerospace-themed. The first day will be held at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, and the second day at the STARBASE facility, located nearby at 156 Spinning Road.

The first of these camps will be June 9 & 10. The second camp, a repeat of the first, will be June 11 & 12. Registration for this camp will open March 13 at 9 a.m. (using the form online). Registration is free but limited. The camps will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Camp time

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drop off between 8:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. (Transportation to/from camp is not provided.)

Lunch

Day 1 Lunch is provided; Day 2 bring a bagged lunch

Camp for 7th and 8th graders

These camps are for youngsters who will be entering either grade 7 or grade 8 in the 2020-21 school year. These camps are based on satellite engineering. The first day of camp will be held at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, and the second day at the STARBASE facility.

The first of these camps will be July 28 & 29. The second camp, a repeat of the first, will be July 30 & 31. Registration for this camp will open March 13 at 9 a.m. (using the form online). Registration is free but limited. The camps will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
