Report of van into a utility pole; driver missing

DAYTON — Police are investigating an accident involving a van that has crashed into a utility pole in the 4400 block of Kitridge, near Baker Road.

The van was reported to the Regional Dispatch Center by Dayton police shortly before 7 a.m. Monday. The initial report is that the driver is missing from the scene.

An officer on the scene reported that the pole is broken, according to Dayton police scanner traffic.

The location of the van is near the border where Montgomery County meets Greene County.

No word on whether the accident has caused any power outages in the area.
