Crews resume search in Great Miami River in Sidney after at least three rescued Monday

Sidney Fire Department crews resumed searching the Great Miami River after at least three people apparently fell off their watercraft and were rescued Monday.

Dispatchers confirmed at least three people were rescued, but had no further information on reports crews were searching for another person.

The conditions of those rescued were not available.

The Sidney Fire Department responded around 6:30 p.m. to the area of the Ralph J. Stolle Bridge for a water rescue, according to initial reports.

Rescuers stopped the search Monday evening and said they’d resume in the morning.

Crews went back out to the river just before 8 a.m., a dispatcher said.
