The original TJ Chumps restaurant and sports pub is open again for business after a quick but big renovation project.
The restaurant and sports bar located at 12 E. Linden Ave. in Miamisburg had shut down Sunday night for the renovation and remodeling project. The updates included a new concrete bartop, new furniture, remodeled bathrooms, new flooring, new lighting and updated electronics, TJ Chumps officials said in a release.
The restaurant was a beehive of activity when we stopped by Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 19.
Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony featured Miamisburg Mayor-elect Michelle Collins.
TJ Chumps has been a staple of downtown Miamisburg since it opened in 2002. The restaurant and sports pub is known for its ribs, burgers, beer, and family-friendly atmosphere. The locally based chain operates three other locations, in Englewood, Fairborn and Huber Heights.
The renovated and reopened restaurant is collecting entries to raffle off two $100 gift certificates, three $50 gift certificates and six $25 gift certificates. An entry for the raffle will be given to customers with their check, and the entries will be collected through Sunday, Nov. 24. The winners will be contacted next Wednesday, Nov. 27 by email, and the winners do not have to be present at the time of drawing.
