The leak was reported around 5:40 p.m. and was cleared sometime after 6 p.m. near the Stanfield Road and Main Street intersection, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

The tractor was powered by natural gas, and the leak was coming from the truck’s gas tank, Troy police Sgt. Matt Mosier said.

The driver told dispatchers he thought the leak was caused by a blown pressure line.

The incident did not last long, but it did prompt the temporary evacuation of Speedway at 1894 W. Main St. and shut down South Stanfield Road.

“We tried to close it off as best we can to keep people out of the area,” Mosier said.
