Showers passing through region

Conditions will be mild and cool today before moisture increases, bringing a few passing showers, which are possible into the overnight.

"No significant rainfall is expected," Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. "It will stay muggy with temperatures falling into the mid-60s by morning."

Sunday will be partly sunny, warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s.

"With a cold front to the north and an area of low pressure working in from the west, a few showers or storms my develop later on Sunday," Vrydaghs said. "A better chance for showers and storms are possible Sunday night, mainly across the sout as the low moves into the region."

MONDAY: Any showers and storm activity will taper off through the day Monday, which will see mostly cloudy skies and some scattered showers, especially south. It will be muggy and warm with highs in the low 80s.

TUESDAY: It will be partly sunny, warm and humid again with highs in the mid-80s.

"Another upper-level disturbance will approach the region from the northwest, bringing a chance for more showers and storms, especially into the later afterrnoon/evening and at night," Vrydaghs said.

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY: There will be more clouds than sun. A few more showers or storms are possible both days. It is expected to be muggy and warm with highs in the mid-80s.
