Small Fire forces evacuation of Mahle Behr in Dayton

Firefighters said a fire in a piece of machinery forced the evacuation of Mahle Behr in Dayton Sunday morning.

Crews were dispatched to the commercial structure at 1600 Webster Street around 7:10 a.m. on reports of a fire with possible entrapment.

Firefighters said the fire was not as serious as reported, and was contained quickly with fire extinguishers. The fire was caused when filters in a piece of equipment caught fire.

Firefighters evacuated the entire building for about an hour to ventilate the smoke out of the structure.

No injuries were reported.
