Springboro physical education teacher put on leave over possible misconduct

The Springboro physical education teacher involved in this investigation has submitted a letter of resignation, the district reported.

INITIAL REPORT:

A physical education teacher in the Springboro Schools District has been put on paid leave while police investigate possible misconduct, an allegation that may "implicate unprofessional conduct" by the teacher.

The investigation involves a PE teacher for first and sixth grade at both Clearcreek Elementary and Springboro Intermediate this school year, according to a letter from Springboro Schools sent Monday afternoon to parents and guardians of children at both schools.

Springboro Schools is cooperating fully with Springboro police, according to the letter.

Springboro Police and school district officials are investigating the allegation and police may be contacting the families directly involved at both schools.

The process could take several days, according to the letter.

If you are not contacted by Springboro police, according to the letter, it is believed your student was not involved in the investigation or allegation against the teacher.
