BELLBROOK — The Sugarcreek Board of Education on Feb. 11 approved the school calendar for 2010-11.
The first class day for students of Sugarcreek Schools will be Tuesday, Aug. 24, and the last day will be Friday, June 3, 2011.
The last school day before Christmas break will be Friday, Dec. 17, and students will return Monday, Jan. 3. Spring break will be the week of March 28 through April 1, 2011.
April 22 and April 25 are scheduled days off around the Easter weekend, but the school board has identified those as possible makeup days in case of excessive snow days. For years, Ohio school districts have been able to miss five days due to weather before they had to schedule makeup days. Next year, they will be allowed only three.
This calendar option had already been approved by the unions for Sugarcreek teachers and support staff.
