Triathlon tests endurance with cycling, running, swimming events

It was a fast-paced day of competition and fun as members of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base community gathered at the Dodge Fitness Center in Area A to take on the indoor triathlon.

Contestants had to push themselves for 15 minutes while indoor cycling, running on a treadmill and finally doing laps in the Dodge pool.

Fitness center staff recorded the distance for each competitor for each category, and then the three were added together to get a final number.

Once everything was added together, Justin Becker from the National Air and Space Intelligence Center won in the male category and Lt. Col. Katie Crowder from United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine won the female category.

Dodge Fitness Center, 4719 Lahm Circle, hosts an array of fitness classes as well as offering a full gym staffed by members of the 88th Force Support Squadron.
