Brogan deliberated his decision for a couple of hours this morning.
State prosecutors argued that Ward should have his bond revoked, however the defense said Ward had showed up for every hearing. The judge agreed and Ward will be free on bond until sentencing, which is tentatively set for 9 a.m. Jan. 16.
INITIAL REPORT:
Former trooper Christopher Ward will learn today whether a judge has found him guilty or not guilty on seven felony charges, including five counts of gross sexual imposition and two counts of sexual battery. The charges involved six accusers, including a minor.
The trial started last Monday with visiting Judge James Brogran presiding, and during the week the court heard testimony from accusers as prosecutors alleged that Ward used his position of authority to sexually abuse women.
