Victim killed in shooting on Third Street in Dayton ID’d

A 29-year-old Dayton man’s death early Saturday on West Third Street is a homicide, investigators said.

Brandion Clemons was shot at an unlicensed bar around 3:40 a.m. in the 3900 block of West Third Street.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has not released the details of Clemons’ autopsy, however, it was completed over the weekend.

The Dayton Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating Clemons’ death, Lt. Jason Hall said.

A 911 caller said she saw the victim shot right in front of her. The caller said she did not see the shooters, but police were searching for three armed suspects that fled the area, according to dispatch records.

“As with any investigation, witnesses are vital in determining what occurred and identifying persons involved,” Hall said.
