Warren County health inspections

The following are summaries of state of Ohio standard inspection reports on file from the Warren County Combined Health District, from Oct. 10-21. District information is available online at www.wcchd.com.

Gold Star Chili – S & O Gold, Inc.

Date of inspection: Oct. 11

Violations: The physical facilities are not being maintained in good repair. The sink in women’s restroom is pulling away from the wall. The physical facilities shall be maintained in good repair. Correct By: 30-Nov-2016

Comments: Thank you for correcting the noted violations, your cooperation is appreciated. Good job! Note: the follow up inspection was rescheduled.

Franklin Golf Club

180 N. Main St., Franklin

Date of inspection: Oct. 19

Violations: Small amount of mold build up on flap of ice machine. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept clean.

Comments: One item noted.

Little Caesars

Date of inspection: Oct. 19

Violations: Person in charge did not ensure that employees are informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. To prevent transmission of foodborne illness, the person in charge shall ensure that food and conditional employees are informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health as it relates to diseases that are transmissible through food.

Person-in-charge did not ensure that the facility has written procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events. Person in charge shall ensure that the FSO or RFE have written procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involved discharge onto surfaces.

Time as a public health control was being used without the proper written procedures. Time as a public health control being used for pizzas, but no written procedure available. Proper times are used. To prevent the growth of pathogens: If time without temperature control is used for TCS food before cooking, or for ready-to-eat TCS food that is displayed or held for sale or service, written procedures that specify methods of compliance with this rule shall be prepared in advance, maintained in the FSO or RFE, and made available to the licensor.

Observed accumulation of soil residue on nonfood-contact surfaces. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues.
