Little sluggers storytime begins Wednesday

The first Little Sluggers storytime of the summer will take place Wednesday, June 8 from 11-11:30 a.m. at the Salem Township Library, 535 West Pike St. The library hopes to encourage language and literacy skills through a fun and interactive storytime, including stories, songs and finger plays.

Library offering free 3D printing class

On Saturday, June 11 from 1-3 p.m., the Lebanon Public Library, 101 South Broadway, will host a hands-on class focused on designing and engineering objects for 3D printing. This session is for anyone age 12 and older who is interested in learning how to use a 3D printer and 3D design software.

Participants will learn how a 3D printer works, how to design objects using Tinkercard and how to use the library’s Dremel Idea Builder to bring their ideas into reality.

Puppet show kicks off summer reading program

The Mason Public Library, will host the Madcap Puppets’ performance of “Monsters of Baseball” from 1-5 p.m. at the Mason Community Center, 6050 Mason Montgomery Road, Mason. Children of all ages are invited to attend this event in honor of the start of this summer’s reading program: “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!”

Those interested in attending should enter the Mason Community Center through the front doors then proceed to the back of the Fitness Center, past the Field House.

Interstate 75 lane closure scheduled

Pavement work requires closing the left lane of southbound I-75 from Ohio 123 to Ohio 122, beginning at 7 a.m., Tuesday, June 7. All lanes will reopen at 3 p.m. The rain date is Wednesday, June 8.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and lane closure. STAFF REPORT
