I-71 lanes closed from Warren into Hamilton County

Pavement work will require lane closures on Interstate 71 in Warren and Hamilton counties.

Beginning at 7 p.m. today through Monday, Sept. 14, there will be various single-lane closures on north and southbound I-71 between the Jeremiah Morrow bridge and the Clinton County line until 7 a.m. the following day.

Beginning at 8 p.m. today through Friday, Sept. 18, one lane of northbound I-71 will be closed, with a double lane closure at 11 p.m., from Pfeiffer Road in Hamilton County to the Warren County line. All lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. the following day.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 24, one lane of southbound I-71 will be closed, with a double lane closure at 11 p.m., from the Warren county line to Pfeiffer Road. All lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. the following day.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.

Four firefighters to be hired

LEBANON

Communities in Warren County funding enhanced 911 services

Tonight the Lebanon City Council is scheduled to consider a resolution approving a memorandum of understanding between the city and the Warren County Board Of Commissioners establishing the city’s participation in the county’s procurement process for the fielding enhanced 9-1-1 services and equipment.

The cost of the project is $809,339. The city’s share is share is $93,008.

Also, the council is expected to hold a public hearing before approving rezoning of 0.8 acres at 100 Stubbs Mill Road, a former E-check facility from residential to neighborhood commercial. In addition the council is to consider a three-year contract for information technology services with LANrm, a Cincinnati-based firm, rather than Go-Concepts, a local firm. The contract is expected to cost $80,000 a year.

The council is also expected to approve the addition of existing readiness’s to serve charges for water and sewer services. The council meets at 7 p.m. at city hall, 50 S. Broadway. For more information, call 513-933-7200. LAWRENCE BUDD
