“The Regional Dispatch Center has entered into a partnership with the Washington Twp. Fire Department to begin handling their emergency calls, fire and EMS calls. This partnership will enhance communications between fire and police departments in the area moving forward,” the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, which runs the dispatch center, said in a tweet.
The department is expected to release additional information on the change Thursday afternoon, according to a release from Washington Twp. officials.
