An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper and a Cincinnati police officer narrowly escaped serious injuries after a driver slammed into both cruisers at a high rate of speed on I-75.
Both the trooper and officer were stopped in a construction zone on the side of the highway to help a driver whose vehicle had become disabled.
Two cars hit each other in a separate crash before the vehicle collided with the cruisers.
The state trooper and police officer, who were both out of their cars, vaulted over a nearby concrete barrier just in time to avoid being struck.
Thankfully the pair were only struck by debris, with the trooper being briefly hospitalized, according to our Cincinnati media partners WCPO-TV.
The wreck remained under investigation, but authorities did not believe the driver was impaired and had not filed charges.
