This has been a year of daunting challenges for many in the Miami Valley and nearly everyone has done something for a friend - or stranger - to help pull us all through.

This holiday season the Dayton Daily News wants to shed light on the people who helped their neighbors through the tornado, the Oregon District shooting, or any other challenge. We are calling these stories our #DaytonStrong Heroes.

To nominate a #DaytonStrong Hero email Bonnie.Meibers@cmg.com with the name of the person, their contact information, a photo if possible, and describe how this person helped make Dayton better during a challenging 2019.
