Woman in Englewood shot during gun demontration

A woman was shot in the leg tonight by a family member during a gun demonstration.

Englewood police said a man was showing the woman how to load and unload the firearm when he shot the woman in the leg around 10:15 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of Grantham Drive.

The man will not be charged because the shooting was accidental, police said.

The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The names of the man and woman were not released.
