Woman, two children injured after car runs red light in Dayton

A woman, a 13-year-old girl and a 1-year-old were taken to the hospital after a crash just before noon Sunday at Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Germantown, according to Dayton police records.

The records said that at around 11: 50 a.m., a black 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix was driving east on Germantown Street and ran the red light at South Edwin C. Moses Boulevard. It crashed into a red 2018 Chevrolet Equinox traveling north through the intersection.

The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries, while the 13-year-old and 1-year-old were taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital with unknown injuries. Neither driver appears to have been injured.

The driver of the Pontiac was issued a citation for running a red light, and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
