Contractors in the Darke County village of Versailles are putting the finishing touches on the construction of a new amphitheater.
It has to be finished by Saturday. That’s the day the community celebrates its bicentennial.
The amphitheater is in the village’s Heritage Park, where 10 bands are scheduled to perform from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday at the amphitheater.
The Versailles High School Band will be the first to perform at the new venue.
The village’s 200th birthday party is free and open to the public.
