Wright State medical school promotes, hires directors of major gifts

FAIRBORN – The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine promoted Nicki Crellin and hired Delores James to the positions of directors of major gifts. The two will have opportunities to grow, manage and sustain a major gift portfolio for the medical school.

Crellin has more than 17 years of fundraising experience, building relationships, volunteer recruitment and event planning. Before the promotion, Crellin served as the associate director for advancement in the medical school.

Before coming to Wright State, Crellin worked as district director for Tecumseh Council, Boy Scouts of America, and a manager at the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.

James has more than 20 years’ experience of nonprofit fundraising, event planning and strategic planning. James left her position at the University of Dayton as executive director of planned giving.

James also served as director of development for North Carolina Central University of Law. Additionally, James worked with the University of North Carolina Statewide Public Television Network.

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is a community-based medical school affiliated with seven major teaching hospitals in the Dayton area.
