Yellow Springs swears in new police chief

Yellow Springs interim police chief, Brian Carlson has been sworn in as the next chief of police for the city.

Carlson was sworn in today, according to dispatchers, and has served as interim chief since January 23 following the resignation of Dave Hale.

Hale left the department in January following a New Year’s Eve altercation that left several people injured. 

Carlson intends to continue his "pro-local policing methods" while in his leading role at the department, according to a release on the department's Facebook page.
