The much-discussed wearable technology device will begin to arrive Aug. 7 at more than 100 Buy Buy stores and also be available on BestBuy.com. Another 200 stores will have the Apple Watch in time for the holiday shopping season, officials said.
“The Apple Watch is a big addition to our stores and website, and we know our customers want it,” said Jason Bonfig, Best Buy’s senior category officer, in a statement. “We are excited to bring the Apple Watch to more consumers, especially with the holidays coming up.”
Customers will be able to see, try and buy 16 Apple Watch models, including Sport and Watch models in both 38mm and 42mm sizes. Best Buy also will offer nearly 50 accessories, including watch bands, screen shields, stands and chargers.
The Best Buy stores at 131 Mall Woods Drive in Miamisburg and 2907 Centre Drive in Fairborn will be part of the retail chain’s August rollout, but might not have the watches on Aug. 7, the spokesman said.
Information about the Apple Watch’s availability at Best Buy stores in Beavercreek, Fairfield Twp., Springdale and Springfield is not yet available, he said.
