Spicer was born in Dayton and later lived in Logan County. He joined the Marines in 1994 after graduating from Benjamin Logan High School in Zanefield.
He leaves behind a pregnant wife and a daughter. He will be buried with full military honors on Thursday in Arlington National Cemetery.
