Pizza Hut delivery man in Houston drives back to store after being shot, police say

A man delivering pizzas was shot and robbed at a Houston apartment complex Friday night, but managed to drive back to Pizza Hut, authorities said.

According to police, the man was delivering pizzas around 10:15 p.m. in the south side of Houston when he was robbed, KTRK reported. He drove back to the Pizza Hut location where he worked and police were called, KPRC reported.

Police said the man had been robbed by two assailants and suffered a gunshot wound to his hip. He was taken to an area hospital, the television station reported.

The delivery man is expected to survive, police said.
