Most people know the classic “We Are the Champions” song, but Queen and Adam Lambert have come out with a new version to pay tribute to those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The band released "You Are the Champions" early Friday on all streaming and download services, The Associated Press reported.

All money made from the song will go to the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

According to the band's official YouTube channel, they recorded the song on Instagram as each quarantined around the world in London, Cornwall and Los Angeles.

Guitarist Brian May recently lost a friend to the coronavirus.

"That's the closest it's come to me physically," May told the AP. "Each one of those [death toll numbers] is a family tragedy. Each one of those people lose a loved one."

For drummer Roger Taylor, his daughter is one of the medical workers. She is a doctor at a London hospital and is featured in the video giving advice about isolating during the pandemic, the AP reported.

Queen and Adam Lambert were supposed to tour, holding 27 shows in the U.K. and across Europe. Those dates were canceled because of coronavirus.

They last performed on Feb. 29 in Australia, Rolling Stone reported.

May's been posting performances done from his home on his Instagram page. Fans were also able to jam with the rock icon via the hashtag #JamWithBri. Then one night, he asked Taylor and Lambert to join him. That's where the rock anthem rewrite came into being, according to Rolling Stone.
