Ohio Senate Passes Jessica’s Law

Ohio’s Senate Wednesday overwhelmingly passed Jessica’s Law, 32-1.

Mark Lundsford, originally from Springfield, was in Columbus last week pushing for the passage of the law. His daughter, Jessica, was kidnapped and murdered by a convicted sex offender last year in Florida.

The law would impose tougher sentences for people who sexually abuse children. Jessica’s Law now moves to the Ohio House for consideration.
