Guns and terrorism

The drumbeat from Orlando continues. This came in from reader Tim Stump:

“Honestly, sometimes I feel like we are living in the ficticious ‘Bizzaro World.’ In Orlando we have a person who swore allegiance to ISIS and the radical Islam it advocates. He purposely choose Pulse as did the terrorists in France purposely choose Bataclan, maximize the killing. France is a country where gun control laws are stringent and yet the slaughter occurred. Why then would anyone think gun control is the answer now? Seriously? What ever happened to terrorism? How about assuming that a dedicated terrorist will get whatever weapons they need? Perhaps that is a better starting point than putting a small band aid on a gaping wound. May make you feel better, but it won’t stop the bleeding.
