Police: Search Continues For Homicide Suspect

Dayton police still do not have any suspects in the shooting death of a man who was shot several times in an alley.

Investigators said the victim does not have a known address in Dayton, but the coroner identified him as 28-year-old Phillip Freeman. Police said he was gunned down in an alley between Randolph and Dennison in Dayton on Monday.

According to homicide detectives, Freeman was shot a close range at least five times with an assault weapon. Witnesses told police they heard at least 17 gunshots.

Investigators said they do not know the motive for the shooting. They are looking for a four-door, dark green mid- to late 90s model Toyota Camry.
