Prosecutors: DNA Test Won’t Clear Man In 1994 Deaths

Prosecutors in Montgomery County said regardless of the outcome, DNA tests will not clear a man in two Dayton murders.

Edmund Earl Emerick III, is serving a life sentence for the March 1994 murders of Robert Knapke and Frank Ferraro at Sloopy’s Bar in the Oregon District.

The Ohio 2nd District Court of Appeals ruled last week that DNA tests would take place on the crime scene evidence.

Emerick is currently serving a life sentence for the murders.
