Security upgrades, renovation planned for West Carrollton Civic Center

Security upgrades and other renovations are being considered for the West Carrollton Civic Center.

City officials are discussing a $260,000, four-part plan that would include the following:

-Security features to the lobby;

-Reorganizing and adding security measures to administrative offices;

-Renovating city council chambers;

-Renovating the community meeting room.

The civic center was built in 1979 and lacks several modern security measures, said West Carrollton City Manager Brad Townsend. City council members are scheduled to discuss the issue in a work session tonight after its 6:30 p.m. regular meeting.
