The car turned sideways against the front of the semitrailer’s grill. The semitrailer then pushed the car for an estimated quarter mile before it came to a stop on the right side of the highway near Dryden Road.
Luckily no one was seriously hurt.
The driver of the car, a woman, did not suffer any visible injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Before being loaded into the life squad, the woman told our photographer at the scene, “I thought I was dead.”
Police said the semi driver was cited in the incident.
