There is a Wind Advisory in effect for Champaign, Clark, Darke, Miami, Montgomery and Preble counties from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, issued by the National Weather Service in Wilmington. The NWS warned that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, blow down tree limbs and cause power outages.

Today will be windy, with strong gusts as high as 40 mph possible from late morning through the afternoon creating an elevated risk of fires, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
