A tax incentive deal for the parent company of West Carrollton’s largest employer could lead to a $12 million expansion in the city.

The West Carrollton City Council on Tuesday night is expected to pass a measure allowing an economic development incentive agreement with Misumi USA Inc., which owns the Dayton Progress Corp., provider of about 530 existing jobs.

The deal would create 20 new jobs and help allow for a 55,000 square foot facility to be built on the 3-acre Dayton Progress campus on Progress Road near I-75, according to city documents.

The Misumi distribution center would not be part of Dayton Progress, but serve to consolidate shipments for other company divisions, city officials have said.

West Carrollton City Council is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the West Carrollton Civic Center, 300 E. Central Ave.
