Greenville police and the Darke County Sheriff's Office are trying to crack down on the new drug that is popping up in several cases.
Authorities said the teens mixed the drug Mountain Dew, which turned out to be a dangerous cocktail for the teens.
Sgt. Mike Burns with the sheriff's office said, "This problem with bath salts is everywhere and we're not exempt from it."
The teens, who range in age from 13 to 18 were rushed to Wayne Health Center in Greenville.
Police said the teens ingested the deceitfully named drug that is really a synthetic stimulant, mixing it with Mountain Dew.
Authorities said three deaths of have been blamed on bath salts in recent weeks. Further investigation could force that number to rise, so could the easy accessibility to the drug.
Police said they do not know how the teens got the drug, but investigators plans to find out how to stop it from happening again.
"We are going to seek every charged that we can possibly seek when people become under the influence and draw it to our attention," Burns said.
At this time, no charges have been filed against the teens. Investigators said they are still trying to figure out what kind of charges this all falls under.
Three of the teens were being treated at Children's Medical Center in intensive care.
